Our Final Meeting…

On February 7th, we sadly had what turned out to be our final meeting with the amazing Brenda, designer extraordinaire, of James Craig Builders. She has been our designer to make sure our build turns into the dream home we have always wished for. Brenda is AMAZING! She was our first and last meeting when it came to the customization of our dream home. It was truly a while ago that we first met and sat down at the James Craig office to select our exterior, doors and windows. Now, we meet for the final interior touches and our wonderful meetings of laughter and decision making will be over.

This meeting was for carpet at Vics Carpet in Oconomowoc. We already picked our LVP (luxury vinyl plank) for the entire main level at Wicks Wood Floors in Waukesha. Carrie at Wicks went over our options between engineered wood floors, solid wood and LVP, a newer product for them. We went with LVP because of durability with pets. We weren’t worried about scratches with the engineered wood just the potty and vomit accidents that pets have. Engineered wood is still wood and will still stain. LVP is water resistant and stain resistant (for the purpose of pee and vomit).

We met Jeff at Vics Carpet who was such a treat to meet. We went over options that were included in our budget and then stepped out and looked at another option to bring in some pizzazz to the carpet runner that we wanted to go up the main stairs.
